1) Sorry I had to loop my sumo video clip a few times over. I had recorded more but then all but one clip got deleted that same day. A traveler’s nightmare.
2) No, I probably didn’t pronounce many or any of the Japanese terms related to the sumo’s clothes, etc. correctly.
3) Unless you are in Japan at the same time as the grand sumo tournament, Arashio is your best bet to see the big boys in action. The alternative is to pay much too much for a guided experience which will only notify you last minute (on the morning of your tour) where you have to meet. It could be halfway across the city. No thanks.
