The katana, or the Japanese long sword, refers to a specific type of curved, single-edged sword traditionally used by the Japanese samurai. The weapon was typically worn by members of the buke warrior class and represented the social power and personal honor of the samurai.
This beautiful piece is a must have for any collector. Its magnificent glossy black hardwood saya (the scabbard), and a handguard piece are intricately designed as individual works of art. Silver dragons on each side of the handguard are partially covered by black wrappings that match those on the scabbard. The scabbard also features hand craved Japanese Samurai Bushide Code that translates to “Polite Courtesy, Compassion, Complete Sincerity”.
Excellent collector’s piece
